SUVs and road trips go hand in hand and though self planned long distance outings with families are fast catching up in India, an increasing number of manufacturers are also stepping forward and organizing the same for their owners. This includes Renault and their “Gang of Dusters” initiative.
The group’s latest trip culminated in Siliguri after a 12-day international drive that saw owners (and their families) driving from Agra to Bhutan – now that’s quite some distance considering there were 41 adults (including a 70 year old member) and 6 kids (including a 2 year old Renault owner!). The 12-day international drive was flagged off from Agra on May 13 and traversed through Lucknow, Varanasi, Patna in India and Phuentsholing, Thimphu, Punakha and Paro in Bhutan, covering a distance of 2,100 km.
Apart from the drive itself, participants also indulged in adventure activities ranging from river rafting in Punakha, an arduous trek to Bhutan’s legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery to enjoying Bhutan’s scenic sightseeing and finally culminating with an entertaining cultural night to cherish for long.
