Bajaj Auto is going out full guns to capture an increasing share of the global motorcycle market. This news has just come in and will surely set the ball rolling for awesome future motorcycles for both Indian and international markets.
Rajiv Bajaj (MD, Bajaj Auto Ltd) and Nick Bloor (CEO, Triumph Motorcycles Ltd) have officially announced a new global partnership today. As per the official release, the aim is to deliver a range of outstanding mid-capacity motorcycles. This is great news for Indian bikers as we could see possible launch of 500cc-800cc motorcycles in India in the next few years.
Bajaj will also set to gain from Triumph’s brand image around the world. They could also use Triumph’s intensive network to enter new markets. Could this also mean Triumph would use Dominar’s 373.3cc engine to come up with a baby Triumph Tiger? Our fingers are crossed. We are sure this will happen as the official statement also includes “this new global partnership will enable Triumph to significantly expand its global reach by entering new higher volume market segments”
